The South Shore Collaborative for Employment (SSCE) was formed in 2011 following a meeting of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH), the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) and other employment providers, who agreed to collaborate more closely in order to achieve more effective and efficient employment outcomes.
SCCE’s efforts are informed by the five Massachusetts regional collaboratives which were funded through the Medicaid Infrastructure and Comprehensive Employment Opportunities (MI-CEO) grant in 2009.
The success of our model depends on equal participation in sharing information and the willingness of agencies to work cooperatively in managing business relationships. The SSCE’s memorandum of understanding outlines the Collaborative’s goals for consistently identifying and delivering value to members who are willing to participate in the collaborative effort in order to improve job placement outcomes for job seekers, our employer partners, agency partners and peers.
